The Isooko Community Development Center is located among the rolling hills of Rwanda. The project was designed and built in partnership with community members in and around the small rural village of Masoro. The project takes the stance that sustainability means more than building performance, it is the practice of sustaining communities through investment, inclusion, and advancement in the shaping of our shared built environment. The project was created using traditional and advanced construction methods which utilized local expertise, sustainable building practices and regional materials. This center offers indoor and outdoor facilities and free educational and wellness programs to all community members.
